Whatever you’re saving for, RoundUp Savings makes it easier to reach your goals.

How Does RoundUp Savings Work?
When a RoundUp customer uses their MarkleBank debit card to make purchases, the amount is rounded up to the nearest dollar – or a set amount that you choose – and the difference is automatically deposited into a designated savings account.

You can choose to have the RoundUp amount deposited into your savings account, a child or grandchild’s account, or even an account for your favorite charity. In fact, you can select two separate accounts that will equally share the RoundUp Savings.

Choose From Three Easy Ways to Save.

  • Round up to the next whole dollar amount.

Example: You make a purchase for $32.17; rounded up to $33 with $.83 going into your designated account.

  • Round up by a specific amount ranging from $1 to $5.

Example: You make a purchase for $32.17 and you choose to have an additional $2 added; rounded up to $34.17 with $2 going into your designated account.

  • Round up to the next whole dollar amount plus a specific dollar amount ranging from $1 to $5.

Example: You make a purchase for $32.17 and you choose to have an additional $1 added; rounded up to $34 with $1.83 going into your designated account.

Other RoundUp Savings Information

  • We total the RoundUp purchases that post to your checking account each business day and make a single transfer to your designated “savings account” at the end of the business day.
  • If you do not have a minimum of $10.00 in your checking account we do not round up purchases posted on that business day and cancel the RoundUp transfer for that day.
  • If your debit card purchase is subsequently cancelled or reversed, the corresponding RoundUp transfer will remain in your “savings account”.
